LEAGUE SEMI-FINALS
MATCHES FOR SATURDAY
Arrangements in connection with the representative match between the Auckland and South Auckland teams, at Huntly, next Saturday, were discussed at a meeting of the board of control of the Auckland Rugby League last evening.
The chairman, Mr. J. \V. Watson, said that the Auckland team would leave at 9.30 on Saturday morning.
The Roope Rooster semi-finals will be played next Saturday, the draw being:— Newton v. North Shore. Carlaw Park No. 1, 1.45 p.m., Mr. S. Billman; Ponsonby v. Mt. Albert, Carlaw Park No. 1, 3 p.m., Mr. J. Donovan. A request from the Glen Afton Club for a match against a junior team at Carlaw Park on October 14 was referred to the junior board of control. The registration of H. Borich for the Mt. Albert senior team was approved. Applications for the transfer of J. Anderson, from the Pt. Chevalier Club to Marist, and L,. R. Davis, from the Richmond Club to Mt. Albert, were deferred until next season. It was reported that the gold medal, presented by Mr. J. F. W. Dickson, for the most sportsmanlike player, had been awarded to H. Hunt, captain of the North Shore senior team.
