League Player Awarded D.F.C.
Among Rugby League players to recently receive promotion, and an award for gallantry in action is H. Burton, a senior member of the Newton Club. Burton has been promoted to flight-lieutenant and has won the D.F.C. He at five-eighth for Newton in 1941, after going through the junior-ranks of that club. At that tune Burton ■was in the successful Newton team which won some six games in succession. Congratulations on his distinction in the service of his country come from followers of the code at Carlaw Park,
