S. AUCKLAND LEAGUE
REP. MATCH AT HUNTLY
Decision to send an Auckland representative team to play South Auckland at Huntly on October 7, was made at a meeting of the board of control of the Auckland Rugby League last evening. Mr. J. W. Watson presided.
.'.he principal fixture for next Saturday will be the Pakeha-Maori match. The referee will be Mr. H. Tate. The curtainraiser will be between the Pakeha v. Maori junior teams. The referee will be Mr. R. Rowlands. All the proceeds will go to the injured players' fund.
The ladies' social committee forwarded o/ as a donation to the injured players* fund, making a total of £57 from" the committee for this year.
A deputation from the Marist Club attended in support, of an appeal against suspension by the Junior Control Board of a Marist junior player until the end of the season. After % long discussion in committee the appealAvas dismissed. Frotest By Club The Mount Albert Club wrote protesting against a delay of three weeks in playing the championship final, and expressing the opinion that the match should liave priority to other fixtures. It was decided that in the event of junior and schoolboy teams in knockout competition being level at the call of time an extra five minutes each way should be played. D. Tate was registered as a member of the North Shore Club. The transfer of D. Walker from Richmond to the Point Chevalier Club was approved.
