ENDS IN OCTOBER
LEAGUE PROGRAMME
BOARD DEFERS DECISION
The programme for the remainder of the season was discussed at a meeting of the board of control of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, the chairman, Mr. J. W. Watson, stating that in addition to club matches there nas a request from the South Auckland League for a return match at Huntly. If th» season ran its natural course the champion of champions match could not be played until October 14. As the following Saturday was the Labour Day week-end it seemed that it would be impossible to go on after October 14. '
In the discussion which followed it was suggested that a representative team should be sent to Huntly on September 16, and that on the same day the four teams lowest on the list in the Roope Rooster competition should play at Carlaw Park.
