SUCCESSFUL CONCERT
A successful concert to celebrate the official opening- of the new music studios pf the Auckland College of Music was held last night in the Town Hall Concert Chamber. The violin orchestra of some 50 pupils gave a fine performance, and instrumental and vocal items were also well received. The opening ceremony was performed by Miss Joan Rattray, a member of the Auckland City Council, who emphasised that children were apt to forget their tuition once they left school. Madame Anne Smith was responsible for the organisation and direction of the performance.
