MARKET IRREGULAR Business fell off considerably on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day, no sales being notified at the second call. The tone was somewhat irregular, with lessened support for some financial and industrial shares which had risen to high levels. Offers on a lower basis were reinstated for insurances. Advances were recorded for Claude Neons and for Woolworths; (N.Z.), the latter reaching the best price for many years. Government issues were steady.
