AVONDALE KINDERGARTEN
At the first annual general meet-' ing of the Avondale Kindergarten a review of the committee's efforts was put before the mothers. The kindergarten had only been opened in May last and much work had been done. Owing to a large waiting list, however, much larger premises were required. Miss J; Deuxberry, director, gave a report of the first term's work, and a warm tribute was paid by the new president to the retiring president, Mrs. P. Hempleman. The following officers were elected:— President, Mrs. T. Cryer; vice-presi-dent, Mrs. W. Miles; treasurer, Mrs. B. Hellriegel; secretary, Mrs. Adrian J. Moore.
