SERVICE WEDDING

TAYLOR—ELLISON BRIDE liV CREAM GEORGETTE A dainty wedding took place at the Pitt Street Methodist Church recently, when Mary Netta (Molly) Ellison, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Ellison, of Auckland, was married to Ivan G. Taylor, of Dargaville (recently returned from the Middle East). Officiating ministers were the Rev. V. R. Jamieson, 0.8. E., chaplain to the forces, and the Rev. E. T. Olds, who served Holy Sacrament.

The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a cream georgette gown modelled on Grecian lines and inset with lace motifs. Her tulle veil was held in place with orange blossoms and was worn over the face. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of cream stocks and sweet peas. Attending as bridesmaid was Miss Jill Davidson, who was gowned in shell pink georgette with a halo coronet of cyclamen and sweet peas. She carried a shower bouquet of pink stocks and irises. Mr. Ray Taylor acted as best man, and solos were rendered by the bride's brother, L.A.C. Thomas Ellison, R.N.Z.A.F.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Domain Kiosk, where Mrs. Ellison received her guests wearing a tailored costume with a "corsage of irises and violets. The bridegroom's mother assisted, wearing a tailored costume and a corsage of stocks and abutilon. Both carried ivory prayer books.
