BAILEY. —On August 1, at Auckland Hospital, Walter, dearly loved husband of Katherine Jane (Katie), 12, Pclham Avenue, Point Chevalier, dearly loved brother of Thomas Bailey (Brown's Bay), and dearly loved brother-in-law of Thomas Long (Dunedin) and Don Watt (Dargaville): aged 68. Sadly missed. Service at Cameron's, Three Lamps, Ponsonby, at 2.45 p.m. to-morrow (Thursday), funeral then leaving for Crematorium. BUS COMB.—On August 1. 1944, at her late residence, Lincoln Road, Henderson. Sarah Hannah, widow of the lato Hedley Augustus Buscomb, and beloved mother of V. E. Allely and R. H. Brunt, sen., merchant of Apia (Samoa), and loved mother of John, Jack, Charlie, Bert, Charlotte, Sophie, Nelly and Odele; aged 53 years. Interment at Samoa later. CJIEYNE. —On August 2, 1944, at Auckland Hospital, Violet Ruby, younger daughter of Alexander, the lato Mrs. Cheyne, of Cooporoo, Brisbane, late of A.T.8.; aged 32 years. R.I.P. Requiem Mass at St. Benedict's at £> a.m. to-morrow (Thursday), funeral leaving afterwards for Waikumete Cemetery. CORNES. —On August 1. 1944 (accidentally), Eldon Graham, eldest son of H. G. and the late Ethel Cornes, of Kenny Street, Waihi; aged 12 years. Funeral will leave his late residence at 2 p.m. to-morrow (Thursday) for the Waihi Cemetery. DEWHURST (Peter) (Uppley).—On August 2, at the Auckland Hospital (suddenly), dearly beloved eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Dewhurst, Buckland Road, Mangere East, and beloved brother of Norman, Anthony and Phyllis. Funeral will leave Selwyn Church, Mangere East, at 1 p.m. to-morrow (Thursday). HAYES.- —On August 1. 1944, at her sister's residence, 32, Alba Road. Epsom, Anne, loved widow of Thomas Hayes, and loving mother of Mesdames Dance, Ivey. Ballinger, Dunlop and Charles and John Brown and Tom Hayes; aged 78 years. A service will bo held at Watney Sibun and Sons' Chapel.
