WARTIME PRICE INDEX
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The wartime price index as at June 15, 1944 (on the base at December 15, 1942, of 1000) was 1001. "This figure," states last nights Gazette, '"indicates that after the seasonal adjustment has been made in respect of certain commodities, the prices of which are subject to seasonal movement, the general level of the prices of commodities included in the wartime price index was 0.1 per cent higher at June 15, 1944, than at December 15, 1942."
