WAR LOAN CAMPAIGN
"The main thing is for everybody to get busy and raise the money so that the job can be finished," said the Mayor, Mr. Allum, this morning, when referring to the coming Victory Loan campaign. Mr. Allum returned to Auckland yesterday from Wellington, where he was one of the delegates to the national war loan conference. Most of the business of the conference had been held in committee and it was not possible to make any statement at this stage, he said.
