ASSOCIATED GOLD RESULT
A profit of £28,680, after providing for the usual charges, is shown in the accounts of Associated Gold Dredges (N.Z.). Ltd. (West Coast) for the year ended March 31, comparing with £23,153 last year. The report says the balancesheet had been further consolidated by repayment of the contract creditors amount of £19,763, and the loan account of £10,920, leaving the bank overdraft at £9291. The sum of £14.966 was paid as war tax and export gold duty. The directors recommended that intangible assets totalling £39,730 be written off. Regarding money lodged against future calls, the directors had. decided to make four successive payments each of 25 per cent of the amounts when finances permitted. Gold won was 99120z against 83760z last year. Net bullion proceeds were £82,414 (£66.886 last year) and £53,735 was spent on working operations.
