RADIO SHOW
SERVICE ENTERTAINERS A radio varied show featuring New Zealand performers who have entertained servicemen in this country for the past few years will be presented over the American Expeditionary station, IZM, this evening from seven o'clock. The shew "A'ill be highlighted by vocals by Doreen Smith and Marie Murphy, aged 12 and 14 respectively. A number of revue parties will be represented in the programme. Volunteer entertainment companies were originally organised by the Auckland Metropolitan Patriotic Committee. Later they were placed under the Co-direction of the American Red Cross, with Miss Linda de Renzy in immediate charge. In one period of four months alone it was estimated that 10,000 miles were covered to reach men in the armed forces.
