SCHOOL GIRLS HURT
KNOCKED DOWN BY TRUCK ONE IN SERIOUS CONDITION Two schoolgirls were admitted to the Auckland Hospital this morning suffering from injuries received when they were knocked down by a truck in Mangere Road, outside the Otahuhu Technical School, at about 9 o'clock. They were Marguerite Carter, aged 15, daughter of Mrs. F.. O. Carter, of Jellicoe Avefiue, Panmure, who suffered concussion, and Joyce Mary Jones, aged 14, daughter" of Mr. T. J. Jones, of Burt Road, Mt. Wellington, who suffered concussion and internal injuries. The two girls were brought to hospital in a St. John Ambulance. The condition of Joyce Mary Jones was serious this afternoon "and of Marguerite Carter, satisfactory.
