FUNDS FOR RELIEF
SUFFERING BY ALLIES
SPECIAL PATRIOTIC APPEAL.
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The patriotic organisation is setting aside next week throughout the Dominion for a special appeal by the people of various Allied nations living in the Dominion for funds for the relief of their own nationals whose lands have been occupied or who have suffered in other ways through enemy action. The appeal will be supervised by patriotic bodies and all the funds raised will be paid into the National Patriotic Fund through provincial councils and disbursed in accordance with the amounts collected by each group. It is pointed out that the appeal takes place at a time when fresh significance has been given to the brotherhood in arms of the United Nations as a result of the momentous events of the past few days.
