SATURDAY'S LEAGUE
MANUKAU PLAYS MARIST
REQUEST OP OTAHUHU CXUI:
The Auckland Rugby League, at a meeting last evening, received a letter from the Otahuhu Rugby League Club stating that it was felt that the time had come when they should make an effort to obtain a lair share of Sturges Park at Otahuhu. It was felt that an inquiry coming from the ruling body would carry more weight than a request from the club. It was the intention, in the event of having the use of the park, to apply for a senior match, or matches, to be played there later in the season. It was decided to take the matter up with the'Otahuhu Borough Council.
The following players were registered: R. Tov.good, Pt. Chevalier; F. W. Goflin, Pt. Chevalier; Heg. E. Martin, Manukau. The following fixtures were made lor next Otahuhu v. Mt. Albert, Carlaw Park 145 p m Mr. G. Kelly; Ponsonby v. Newton, Carlaw Park No. 2, 1.45 p.m., Mr. J. Hawkes; Richmond v. North Shore, Carlaw Park No. 2, 3.10 p.m., Mr. E. Pope; Marist v. Manukau. Carlaw Park No. 1, 3.10 p.m., Mr. J. Donovan; City v. Pt. Chevalier, at Pt. Chevalier, 3.10 p.m., Mr. H.
