This afternoon their Excellencies the Governor-General and Lady Newall visited the girls' hostels conducted by the Women's Christian Temperance Union at Parnell, the United Maori Mission at Ponsonby, and by the Auckland Council of Christian Women in Wellesley Street West.
Later his Excellency received Commodore S. Jupp, United States Navy and Mr. Warren H. Atherton, National Commander of the American Legion.
. May 30. This morning his Excellency the Governor-General, attended by Major u. A. Jaffray, was present at the Memorial Day Service at the Ameriof Waikumete Cemetery.
