NEW CQI/L/EGE FOR GIRLiS (0.C.) WANGANUI, this day. "The Minister of Education, Mr. Mason, is well acquainted with the need for building a new Wanganui Girls' College and he expects that when materials and labour become available there will be no delay in proceeding with the work as an urgent matter." This reply has been received by the Wanganui City Council to representations to the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, by the council as to the urgency of a new building. The letter added that it was impossible to secure the necessary approval of the work because of the demands on labour and material.
