ATTITUDE TO WOMENFOLK
A WANT OP APPRECIATION (0.C.) GISBORNE, this clay. The development of a dangerous trend regarding morals in certain portions of the Gisborne judicial district was referred to by Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme Court in Gisborne. His Honor said the average of a certain type of case had not gone down ih the Gisborne district at all. These cases, as well as others which had come before the Court from time to time, had shown a want of appreciation in some parts of .the Gisborne district for the sanctity of young women. That was rather a dangerous trend, which did not seem to be improving in the district, for on every occasion on which he had visited Gisborne in his official capacity for some time lie had noted a distressing want of the appreciation that Avas due to young womenfolk.
