ASSOCIATION'S GROWTH A gratifying growth of membership of the New Zealand Home Services' Association was reported at the annual meeting of the association. It was stated that at the end of the financial year, March 31, 1944, there Mere over 1100 financial members, including 54 women. It was also reported that the association was in a sound financial position, there being a credit balance of £133 3/1. The chairman, Mr. W. H. Taggart, said that conferences had been held with the Minister for Rehabilitation, Major Skinner, in connection with houses for ex-Home Servicemen. The Minister had stated that lie thought the association's request for a 25 per cent allocation fair and reasonable. The claims officer reported that since Septeml» r last he had handled from 050 to 700 claims with considerable success.
