TAKAPUNA RED CROSS

At the annual meeting of the Takapuna sub-centre of the N.Z. Red Cross Society, reports showed that excellent work had been done in the V.A. detachment, men's detachment, two junior R.C. circles, comforts committee and packing committee. Regular gifts had been made of parcels and papers to military hospitals, overseas and local, chocolate and tobacco to Takapuna prisoners of war, and quarterly parcels to two adopted prisoners of war. There have been substantial donations to assist distressed overseas and social work locally.
