CORDELL HULL'S STATEMENT Rec. 2 p.m. RUGBY, April 3. Mr Cordell Hull, United States Secretary of State, to-day formally associated his country with the Rus-; sian Government's official disclaimer i of territorial designs in Rumania. This, he said, was made clear to the Rumanian people—that the main business of the Soviet Russian armies was to defeat the enemy in the field. He added that the political assurances, which the statement contained, should help the Rumanians to see that their own ultimate interest would require the Germans to be driven from their country. Mr. Hull disclosed that the United States was informed in advance of the statement by M. Molotov.
