STEADY MARKET

The market was steady and rather featureless on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day. Offerings of banking issues were freer, and sellers of Nationals of New Zealand came forward at £2 18/ against bids of £2 15/6. Among miscellaneous shares margins were wider, and chief interest was concentrated on the gilt-edged division. Old war loan 2§ per cents and First Liberty Loan 1952-55 3 per cents were both slightly easier.
