FIFTY-ONE SPEAKERS SO FAR

WELLINGTON, this day. Fifty-one members have now taken part in the Address-in-Reply debate which was continued in the House ot Representatives yesterday afternoon and evening. Twenty-six of those who have spoken in the debate or V u een Government members and 2j have come from the Opposition benches. To date there has been a marked absence of Ministers from the debate, a fact on which an Opposition member twitted the Government last evening. There was one Ministerial speaker during the evening, Mr. Tirikatene, member of the Executive Council representing the native race. The only other Minister to speak so far is the Minister of Supply, Mr. Sullivan, who followed the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Holland on the second night.
