MT. ALBERT MAYORALTY

MR. ANDERSON TO STAND

The Mavor of Mount Albert, Mr. H. A. Anderson, was met by a representative deputation in the Mount Albert Borough Council Chamber this morning, and in reply to a request announced that he would again be a candidate for the Mayoralty at the approaching elections. The speakers were Messrs. F. A. .Tarrett, T. J. Spry and Mr. F. B. Watts, deputy-Mayor. Reference was made to Mr. Anderson's efficient and able leadership, and the opinion was expressed that he should be in charge of development after the war.

Mr. Anderson was elected Mayor at a by-election in September, 1933, in succession to Mr. R. Ferner, who was appointed a magistrate. He was again elected Mayor in 1938, and at the last elections in 1941, was returned unopposed.
