CITIZENS' CANDIDATES
LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS
Candidates for the coming local elections were selected last night by the Auckland Citizens and Ratepayers' Association, when full tickets were chosen for the City Council and the Auckland Electric Power Board and for the Auckland City seats on the Harbour, Hospital and Transport Boards. The association decided to support the candidature of the present Mayor, Mr. Allum, who announced recently that he would seek election for a second term.
One of the association's candidates for the four Auckland City seats on the Hospital Board is Mr. Allan J. Moody, who hitherto has represented the combined districts of One Tree Hill, Onehunga, Mount Roskill, and Mount Wellington.
