BANKNOTE HOARD
(P.A.) DUNEDIN, this day. "My life savings in notes have been stolen from an outhouse," was a message received yesterday from an agitated resident, but on detectives searching the hoard was unearthed, the owner having forgotten changing the hiding place. The hoard totalled £1320, consisting of twenty £50 notes and notes of smaller denomination. The distracted owner took police advice and banked the money.
