ELECTRICITY SUPPLIES
To the Editor.
Re the electric power shortage may I suggest that all militar? authorities find other means of run ning their workshops then installing electric motors. Seeing that thev have plenty of benzine, surely th e ~ can get some old reconditioned car or truck engines and use these fov power and thereby help to relieve our overburdened electric po\y e r supply, and at the same time use un some of the surplus benzine. Thp waste that goes on in all military circles is simply appalling, and no private enterprise would tolerate it for one moment or they would soon cease to exist. I read recently of a 1100 h.p. motor being installed in one area. That motor would con sume enough power to supply nearlv 900 all-electric homes. v ANTI-HUMBUG,
