HUIA WHARF UNSAFE
A report of the superintendent and engineer, Mr. D. Holderness, that the Huia Wharf, Manukau Harbour, was unsafe was received at the meeting of the Auckland Harbour Board yesterday afternoon. Mr. Holderness stated that he was arranging for the complete rebuilding of the wharf at a cost of £1600.
The board decided to adopt the superintendent's recommendation to rebuild, but to defer the work until an assurance was received from the Waitemata County Council that the road approach to the wharf would be put in good order.
