BUTCHERS' HOSTILITY
MEAT RATIONING SCHEME (0.C.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Hostility to the meat rationing scheme now operating was expressed at a large mooting of the Wellington Master Butchers' Association, when 76 retail butchers attended. It was contended that the present weekly ration allowance for each person was too small and did not allow the butcher to carry on with a sufficient margin of profit.
It was unanimously decided that they should meet in 10 days' time and further review the position in the light of experience gained during that period.
