NOT a bad case
"This is not a bad case, and I dont think .you have been cruel to either woman," said Mr. Justice Callan in the Supreme Court yesterday, when dealing with Thomas Bovle Dennis, aged 40, motor mechanic, who hau pleaded guiJtv to a charge of bigamy. Mr. Robinson, for the prisoner, said Dennis had been married in 193(5, and was deserted after seven weeks by his wife. The parties haa divorced, and prisoner in December, 1941, had gone through a form ot marriage with another woman, but at that time the decree nisi had not been made absolute. He had legally married his present wife the clay after it had been made absolute. His Honor said the case did net warrant imprisonment, and prisoner woidd be admitted to probation loi two years, a condition being that ne paid £10 towards the costs of the prosecution.
