MRS. EMMA McDJERMOTT The death of Mrs. Emma Jane McDermott removes another colonist of over 70 years standing. Mrs. McDermott was the widow of James McDermott, better known as "Jimmie Mac," who was a prominent athlete in the early days of Auckland. She arrived in 1871 with her parents in the ship Caduceus.
