BREAD SUPPLY
ARMY CO-OPERATION CIVILIAN REQUIREMENTS The president of the Master Bakers' Association, Mr. A. E. Brownlie, states that arrangements have been made by the Army for their bakeries to supply the whole of the Armed Forces with their requirements over the holidays at Christmas and New Year, and, in addition, bread is being forwarded from an Array bakery in the country. For these arrangements the association has to thank Colonel Swan and the Wheat and Flour Controller. They consider it will enable adequate supplies to be made available for civilian requirements. Householders are asked, however, not to purchase more than they need, to shop early, and bear in mind the restricted shapes and types of bread being baked.
