INVERCARGILL POLL
(P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Wed. No-license supporters in Invercargill say they are applying for a recount of votes in the no-license poll. The Southland Trades Council has written to the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, stating that there was a great need for licensing reform and suggesting that a committee of inquiry be set up to consider this question. The council was anxious to see Invercargill a model city so far as hotel licensing was concerned, but that was impossible as the law stood at present.
