NO AGREEMENT YET
THREATENED STRIKE IN U.S.A. WASHINGTON, Dec. 20. The White House conference of I railway owners and unions has failed j to reach an agreement on the wages i dispute and the striks remains fixed for December 30. A statement issued from the White House says the members of the conference expressed the opinion that their meeting with President Roosevelt had contributed greatly to a closer understanding of the problems involved.
