HIGHER EGG PRICES
The Auckland Egg Marketing Committee notifies - a rise in the price of eggs, operative to-day. The A new rates, which show an increase of 2d a z. dozen, are the same as were ruling at this time " last year. They are as follow: —Heavy hen, wholesale, 1/11% a dozen, retail, 2/2; standard, 1/19% * and 2/1; medium, 1/8% and 1/11; pullet, l/o/2 _ and 1/7%; ungraded, 1/8%; standard duck, 1/10% ; and 2/1; medium, 1/8% and 1/11; small. 1/5,2 e and 1/7%; ungraded, 1/6. In all districts outside of • emergency marketing areas prices will be l%d per r dozen less for graded eggs and %d loss for un- r graded, making country storekeepers' buying price for ungraded hens 1/8 and ducks 1/5%.
