FOR WOMEN AIR FORCE WEDDING
COX —MORTON BRIDE IX WHITE TAFFETA An attractive wedding took place at St. Aidan's Church, Remuera, yesterday, when Miss Estelle Beverley Morton, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Rupert Morton, of Ridings Road, Remuera, was married to Flieht-Sergeant John Eric Aylward Cox, R.N.Z.A.F. (returned from overseas), only son of Captain and Mrs. E. A. Cox, of Devonport. Canon R. L. Connolly performed the ceremony, and the bride's brother, Mr. Neville Morton, R.N.Z.N., was organist. A beautiful trained gown of white corded taffeta with a satin stripe was worn by the bride, who was given away by her father. A full flared skirt fell from the fitting bodice, which had large puffed sleeves tightened from elbow to wrist. The bride's veil of French tulle was held in place by a coronet of real orange blossom and a spray of seed pearls, which were a family heirloom lent by the bride's aunt, Miss Elsie K. Morton. She carried a sheaf of white roses and lily ol the valley. The bridesmaid was Miss Lynette Cox, the bridegroom's sister, and she wore a frock of blue and cyclamenshaded crinkled silk taffeta and a top-knot of flowers to match her Victorian posy of fuchsia and blue. Corporal Ashley Morrison was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The bridegroom, Flight-Sergeant Cox, recently returned from overseas after over two years' service abroad. He was attached to the Coastal Command in England, and after a year's operations was posted to a Catalina squadron stationed at Gibraltar during the North African landing. His squadron was subsequently transferred to Canada on loan from the R.A.F. to the Royal Canadian Air Force, with headquarters at Nova Scotia.
