WORK APPRECIATED
U.S. WOMEN AT TRAIN SMASH (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. Fine service by two young women, Lieutenants Latter and Noll, members of the U.S.A. Medical Service, at the recent train accident in the Hutt Valley was recognised yesterday when the Mayor Mr. J. W. Andrews, and Mayoress of Lower Hutt, waited on them and presented each with a memento, accompanied with flowers and a letter of appreciation from the citizens of Lower Hutt.
