FARM CONTRACTS
SUBJECT TO CONTROL WARNING BY TRIBUNAL (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. Charges for contracting work on farms are subject to control under various price control regulations, and may not be increased without the prior consent of the tribunal, states the Price Tribunal. Those regulations control charges for services as well as the prices of goods. Any attempt to force up contracting charges by using shortage of labour as a bargaining weapon is a breach of stabilisation regulations, as well as of the various regulations administered by the Price Tribunal. Contractors who attempt to force up charges by these or other means subject themselves to the possibility of prosecution.
