WOOL FOB BABIES

I should like to ask if the ration controller, who has stated that only 240z of white or cole-.red baby wool may be supplied to young mothers until a child reaches .six months old, realises that there are no woollen shawls available, and that tnere is no material, which was used for frocks, •petticoats and gowit-3 for young babies,- to be bought anywhere. The only way out is to knit 'dresses, etc., and shawls, but where is the wool to come from? As a soldier's wife, on an army allowance, I should like to know how young women are expected to clothe young children on what is coining in, when everything, if it could be bought ready-made, is far beyond their meagre purse. Why isn't theresome suitable material made available if there is no wool for us, so that we can afford to clothe the new SOLD iER'S WIFE. .
