WAITING FOR RESULTS

VOTES FROM OVERSEAS STILL BEING RECEIVED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. Although election results are still coming in from overseas, and will continue to do so for some time, there was no alteration reported today in the results for the electorates where the voting is close, and there was no material alteration in any of the other electorates. It is impossible to say yet when all election returns will be completed, but because of the forces voting it will be some time. Figures published so far represent counts in New Zealand, and include some, but not all of the forces votes. Still to come are the rest of the forces votes from many parts of the world and from ships at sea, as well as absent, postal, declaration and seamen's votes in New Zealand. The final count of votes lodged in New Zealand should be completed next weel:, the chief electoral officer, Mr L. Irwin, said to-day, but the final result of the voting of the forces overseas would probably not be known until later than that. .
