Black marketing has become so rampant in Australia that some Ministers believe the whole financial structure of the Commonwealth is being endangered. Mr. Brown told the Press that his fervent anti-Fascist attitude had led the C.B.S. to adopt a policy of censorship under which he found it impossible to work. The Post says Mr. Brown's resignation was the climax of a week of bitter controversy in radio circles resulting from the apparent trend of networks to censor outspoken commentators. Mr. Brown was stationed in Australia for a time early in 1942. DIAMOND SHIPMENT ______ -o CAPETOWN, Sept. 26. A very large shipment of industrial diamonds, valued at more than £3,500,000, has just been transferred from Johannesburg to Canada. The shipment, which was undertaken at the request of the Allied Governments, is believed to be the largest and most valuable in the history of the industry.
