SHEEP EASIER
FRANKTON STOCK SALE The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co.. ' Ltd.. report that at their weekly stock sale held at Frankton yesterday a full yarding 01 fat sheep was penned. The quality was not, as good as last week, and prices for wethers were Slightly easier, while ewes showed a lurtn<ir easing tendency. Hoggets were penned m ,arge numbers and sold at late rates. A small number of spring lambs sold well under strong competition. A heavier yarding of ox beef was penned with values remaining fully Arm at last week's quotations. There was only a medium offering of cow and heifer beef, for which there was a firm demand, with values remaining unchanged. There was no alteration in values for a small entry of veal. An increased yarding of fat pigs and stores and weaners came forward, taconers remaining firm at recent late rates. Light to medium baconers were slightly easier while porkers and store pigs sold at unchanged rates. Quotations: Sheep.—Heavy prime wethers, 45/ to 47/; neavy wethers, 41/ to 43/6; medium, 36/ to 39/; light, 32/ to 34/G; shorn heavy wethers, 32/ to 35/; shorn medium wethers, 27/ to 30/; light. 23/ to 25/; heavy ewes, 27/ to 28/6; medium, 24/ to 26/; light, 18/ to 22/; heavy hoggets, 30/ to 33/6; medium, 25/ to 28/; light, 10/ to 23/; spring lambs, 31/6 to 38/6. Cattle: Extra heavy prime bullocks, £22 to £25; heavy prime bullocks, £19 10/ to £21: medium, £17 to £18 10/; light. £15 to £16; unfinished bullocks, £11 to £12: heavy prime young cows and heifers. £14 to £15 7/6; medium. £12 to £13: light. £10 10/ to £11 10/; fat young cows and heifers. £8 to £9 10/; medium runners. £5 15/ to £0 7/6; medium vealers, £3 to £4 10/; light, £1 15/ to £2 10/.
