CONTROL OF RAGWORT
(0.C.) HAMILTON, Tuesday. Advice was received by the Waikato County Council to-dav that the Government had voted £300 for the control of ragwort in the Waikato county for the coming season. In a report to the council Mr. G. G. Winter, the engineer, said that arrangements had been made for the clearing of property frontages of noxious weeds. Difficulty in procuring suitable labour was often the cause of delays. It was stated that the work of eradicating ragwort had greatly lessened.
