MERGER PROPOSAL
HUNTLY, Tuesday.
A petition containing the signatures of 33 of the 40 ratepayers in Starr Town. Huntly, asking that the area be merged in the borough of Huntlv. was received by the Waikato County Council to-day. The county clerk, Mr. C. F. E. Barton, said the procedure required the petition to be presented to the GovernorGeneral by the Huntly Borough Council or" bv the ratepayers. The county council decided to offer no objection- to the petition.
