MUST EXPAND MARKETS
BRITAIN A DEBTOR NATION Rec. 1.30 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 20. Great Britain has passed from a creditor to a debtor nation. It is essential that she should have an expanding market, declared Mr. Eric Johnston, president of the United States Chamber of Commerce, representing 14,000 Chambers of Commerce, in the course of a statement in London. He added: "We have every desire to see Britain extend her trade to a larger extent than perhaps even British business interests feel essential."
