SERVICE WEDDING

RUSSELL—CAMERON At St. David's Presbyterian Church yesterday the marriage took place of Miss Ivy Elizabeth Cameron, only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. D. D. T. Cameron, of Southland, to Petty - Officer Thomas Weathers Russell, United States Naval Reserve, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. L. H. Russell, of Oregon, United States. The Rev. Bower Black officiated.

The bride was given away by Mr. W. G. Bennett. She wore a lovely trained gown of heavy cream figured satin with tight-fitting bodice, full sleeves and bouffant skirt. Her tulle veil, which formed a long train, was caught to the head with a spray of hyacinths, carnations and sweet peas which matched the shower bouquet she carried.

Attending the bride as matron of honour was Mrs. C. Hardy, and as bridesmaid, Miss Jacqueline MacKay. They were dressed alike in ice blue satin frocks with top-knots of scarlet anemones, carnations and sweet peas. They carried bouquets of the same flowers. The best man was Petty-Officer James O'Meara, U.S.N.R., and the groomsman, Corporal C. Hardy, R.N.Z.A.F. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Savoy, Mrs. Bennett acting as hostess.
