SMOOGER IS FANCIED fields and prospects Largo fields are engaged at the Paku«nga Hunt races at Ellerslie to-morrow, the chief flat event will be the jellicoe Handicap, with 23 acceptors. This contest should provoke spirited (peculation, for the issue is nothing if not open. Landveyor, the Easter winner, i- galloping with great dash, and as the rack conditions will be made to order for him, he may justify favouritism. Gaymiss, Foxlore, Flying Acre and Indian sport are recent winners, while Lovaals, nhich won the race two years ago, is reported to be back to form. The Pakuranga Hunt Cup has attracted a better field than usual, and there is aire to be solid backing for Huirangi Sun, which won well both at Awapuni and Has'ings within the past few weeks. He ! has "schooled well over the hill and will be bidden bv R- Beale, who won the Grand National the other day on AngloFrench. The Dozer, top weight, is in creat condition, and he is such a brilliant calloper that he should take all sorts of beating. However, there are quite a number of other horses with prospects, and the contest should be well worth witnessing.
