EPSOM GIRLS' GRAMMAR
There is hardly any need to defend myself against the attack of the Minister of Education. Job or old displaved much wisdom when he declared: "If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me." This is just what Mr. Mason has tried to do. However, I would remind Mr. Mason that I have not had the privilege of being a member of the Grammar Schools Board under any other than his own Government. Five years only is my period of service, two of them as vice-chairman. This is the first time I have been given the opportunity of publicly supporting a demand for action in respect of the urgent needs of the Epsom School. I am not a politician, and the political possibilities that lie, as Mr. Mason suggests, in such a meeting as I attended never occur to my simple mind. J. VICTOR MACKY.
