PREMIER ANSWERS PROTEST (P.A.) WELLINGTON". Tuesday.' K reply has been sent by the Prime Minister, Mr. Eraser, to the Leader of the Opposition. Mr. Holland, who protested regarding a recent article in the Labour newspaper, the Standard, concerning the Opposition s attitude toward the Liberty Loan, j Mr. Fraser, in his letter to Mr. j Holland, states: — "I have now read the article to which you call my attention in your telegram of Friday, and 1 have to j state in reply that I entirely dis- j approve of that portion of it which could be construed as an attempt to associate inferentially some uniden- j tified members of the National party with anv opposition to or discouragement of the Third Liberty Loan. I'• note that you and officials of the! National party are given credit in j the article for supporting the loan. and it was staled definitely that it would be wrong 'to suggest that the National party officially had any part' j in what was described as 'this campaign.' "The country was never more , united than it was in support of the loan. Members of all parties and shades of political opinion joined wholeheartedly in the effort. Please ': accept by personal thanks for the assistance you gave to the war loan campaign." i
